I spent about an hour yesterday testing the tiny Sony 20mm f/2.8 pancake lens on my Sony a6000--I just love pancakes don't you? The shot above was taken at ISO 125 @ f6.3, and wow, just look at the 3D rendering of this lens--and this is on an APS-C sensor mind you! These tiny E-Mount cameras never cease to amaze me, and I'm loving every second that I shoot with them.
I rented the lens from Lens Rentals, and it's proven to be a perfect companion for street photography on the a6000. It's not stellar wide open at f2.8 in the corners from what I've seen so far (I'm spoiled by my Zeiss lenses), but it's perfect for street photography when stopped down. Stay tuned for more from this combo next week, as I'll be heading to Miami tomorrow to teach a one-day, one-to-one street photography workshop.
