MIAMI STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Little Havana

I had the privilege of teaching a one-day street photography workshop for a photographer from Columbus, Ohio on Saturday in Miami, Fla. The weather and light was fantastic too. We covered a lot of ground including the Wynwood Art District, Little Havana, downtown and Bayfront Park. To get to all these places, I had to ride the Tri-Rail (train), the Metrrail (elevated subway), the Metromover (think Walt Disney's monorail), the Metrobus (city bus), and even used Uber twice (Uber is awesome). It was a fantastic day! Posted is the third series of images from the day. These photos were shot in Little Havana. I hope you enjoy.

Sunset Strip circa 1979

It's not really Sunset Strip, but Miami. But in some ways it reminds me of a still from a late 70's flick, which makes the photo work.

I had the privilege of teaching a one-day street photography workshop for a photographer from Columbus, Ohio last Saturday in Miami, Fla. This photo was shot in Little Havana.

ONE-DAY STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

I have the privilege of teaching a one-day street photography workshop for a photographer from Columbus, Ohio next week. The Florida weather has been fantastic lately too, as the humidity is low, the ocean breeze is cooling, and the sun has been shining. We plan to explore the Wynwood Art District, Little Havana, downtown, and if we can squeeze it in, South Beach too. The above photo was taken in South Beach, Miami.

Chicago Street Photography Workshop 2014

Portfolio

From the moment you arrive, until you take the last train to O’Hare, you intuitively tune into Chicago’s frequency and ride its pulse wave.

Shooting in Chicago is always a rush (no pun intended), and this year turned out to be no exception--it was remarkable. The city feels like it’s alive, and literally pulsating with energy and electricity, and you cannot help but get in sync with it. In all actuality, the city is alive and life there thrives. From the moment you arrive, until you take the last train to O'Hare, you intuitively tune into Chicago's frequency and ride its pulse wave. Potential shots can be found on every corner and every street, in the parks, under the ‘L’ and along the boulevards--you literally can’t miss. If you’re new to street photography or an old pro, this is the city for you.
